FREE WORKBOOK 03 · Graduates and students approaching graduation

Decide which graduate role deserves your next hour.

Separate an appealing title from the degree, experience, timing and role-specific sponsorship evidence you actually need to investigate.

YOUR OUTPUTA dated role-decision sheet with unresolved questions and one concrete next action.

Original teaching material · Read and download without registering.

Answer four questions separately.

A role can be open and still have requirements you do not meet. An employer can have historical H-1B records without promising support for this vacancy. Keep the evidence for each question separate.

  • Availability: does the official role or application page still accept applications, and when did you check?
  • Fit: what degree, graduation window, experience and skills does this exact role state?
  • Support: does the job, program or employer policy address this role and your circumstances?
  • Action: what can you verify or prepare next, and which unanswered question could change your decision?

A worked comparison with fictional roles.

These are original teaching examples, not current listings. The fictional graduate has a relevant degree and a June 2026 graduation date. Nothing here determines work authorization or sponsorship eligibility.

Use a question that could change the decision.

Fictional Role B explicitly accepts graduation from December 2025 through June 2027 and states zero to one year of experience. A program policy says sponsorship may be considered, subject to the specific role and individual review.

The example graduate falls within the stated graduation window, but that alone does not establish overall fit or support. Record the policy scope as conditional and check whether the vacancy is covered.

Write a next action, not an unsupported verdict.

Use a practical label such as investigate, clarify first, prepare for a later cycle or skip this role. Write the reason and the source date beside it. An unknown answer stays unknown until you obtain evidence.

For a role worth investigating, save the official source, note a deadline only when confirmed and choose a follow-up action. Recheck the live employer page before applying. Historical or closed records can help preparation but should not become an active-application recommendation.

  • Investigate: the recorded requirements justify reading the official posting in detail.
  • Clarify first: an unresolved condition could rule the role in or out.
  • Prepare for later: this cycle is closed or the experience requirement needs more preparation.
  • Skip this role: an explicit requirement conflicts with your circumstances; record that requirement without generalizing to the employer.

USE THIS WITH A REAL ROLE

Browse the relevant records, inspect the official posting and decide what deserves your attention. Opening the list does not save a role or select a company review.

Your worksheet stays free. Account-saved targets are separate from the checks stored in this browser. No company-review allowance is used by this workbook.
