Check eligibility before prioritizing a company
Match the exact role, U.S. work location, degree, graduation window, return-to-school condition and relevant experience. A higher brand fit does not cure a failed requirement.
Keep three decisions separate: whether the candidate has usable present work authorization; whether the employer will provide the required assistance for this role; and whether a future full-time role could offer immigration support. Unknown remains unknown.
A company-level FAQ can clarify an ambiguous program term, but does not replace a more specific JD restriction. Do not infer citizenship-only hiring from permanent authorization or U.S. Person wording.
Data Scientist Intern – QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey [112336]: Relevant master’s student in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related field; graduation 2027-12 through 2028-08. Foundations in ML/statistics, exploratory analysis, data quality, basic GenAI/agents, modular code and MLOps. No stated minimum full-time tenure. Python or R proficiency is a plus; this does not mean programming is unnecessary.
Business Analyst Intern [15275]: Enrolled undergraduate; English and office-language communication, logical analysis, independent organization and time management. Produce Excel models/presentations and accept travel and flexible working arrangements. No verified unified preferred checklist; SQL/Python is not added as a mandatory requirement.
Business Analyst – Operations [103025]: Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of work experience; analytical, leadership and communication skills; travel may reach approximately 80%. One year is the stated minimum, not two. Whether a particular experience counts requires recruiter clarification.
Ordinary relevant master’s routes stay in the core pool where explicitly allowed. MBA/PhD-only or advanced-degree routes are lowest priority for the current undergraduate/ordinary-master’s audience. Experienced roles remain as references with lower priority, rather than being deleted.
